A Goodness of Golly is a bunch of raw drawings conceived freely onto paper – without any thoughts or concepts in mind. The artist simply opened up his mind and allowed the pens to run wild, guided solemnly by his own hands. Sit back and let it flow. Without any further warning a story began to unfold: Peace Fountains finding their way into our collective minds, discovering new terrains and hidden places we haven’t even thought of.

But beware of the trolleys!

They are mean, corrupt, ego-driven, selfish and endlessly hungry. Nothing is ever enough for them. Their sole purpose is pure material consumption and spiritual decay. They come charging at you like a greedy ball of rage. First, they want your precious essence – the soul within you. Then they want everything else. They want to strip you bare naked, rob you blind of your identity, and keep you working for them 24/7 in exchange for everything you don’t need.

What a silly perspective!
What a ridiculous concept!

Time to reflect. Good thing we have the Peace-Fountains. They know what to do. They keep their calm. They know how to resist. They can see through the illusions. They provide fresh water. They know how to imagine a better wörld!

Do you?

Marc Elsener is a Swiss/British artist from Auter-Speys. He made his degrees and went to school like everybody else. Along the way, he received positive recognition for his miniature, quirky oil-paintings. Grants and scholarships followed, and from time to time, even the occasional certificate found its way beneath his long, hairy nose. He also published a book with Edition Patrick Frey titled Bärte aus dem Jenseits. It’s something else! You can even buy a puzzle based on his work from puzzy.ch!  It’s all there – just pop it into the trolley! Ha Ha Ha. Whoopie-Whoo! ;-)
