On August 2008 I left Paris where I had lived for 40 years. I feel this was the beginning of a wandering. These photos were taken in the first two cities of my exile, Rio de Janeiro, where I stayed three months, and Lisbon, where I'm living since one year. Those images are not travel photos shot during an enthusiastic short trip but rather they bear a certain melancholy linked to exile. Elein Fleiss
