Stool Sample is an uncanny furniture study about objecthood and the spirit of objects. Our environments have as much of a psychological effect on us as our relationships with each other. Because they are made by humans, objects provide visual information such as state, condition, age, gender and agency.

Alicia Adamerovich makes surreal figurative work that spans drawing, painting and sculpture. She has recently shown her work in New York, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Austin, and Oakland. Her work has been published by The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, It’s Nice That, AIGA Eye On Design, Tan & Loose Press, Nieves, HBO and Bandcamp.
